How Does Server Colocation Work?

Server colocation means running the physical server you own not in your office but in a data centre built for the job. The hardware stays yours; AnkSOFT provides rack space, power, cooling, redundant connectivity and physical security at its TIER III facility in Istanbul.

In an office a server is hostage to power cuts, heat and a single internet line. In the data centre the same machine sits behind UPS and generators, in a climate-controlled rack, on a redundant network backbone.

What Do Server Sizes (1U, 2U, ATX) Mean?
The main factor that determines hosting costs is the space your hardware occupies in the data center. Height is measured in 'U' (Units), where 1 Unit = 4.44 cm. For enterprise network setups, 1U or 2U servers are the most popular choices. ATX cases occupy between 3U and 5U in data centers, so their pricing varies accordingly.
What Are the Internet Speeds and Traffic Limits?
A 1 Gbit/s port speed is standard across all our hosting plans. The stated line limits represent the speed your server can use at any given moment. No traffic quota is applied. A 10 Gbit option is also available for higher demands.
How Does the Technical Support Process Work?
Our expert team is ready to respond 24/7. Thanks to our free IP KVM support, you can handle your software-level operations remotely on your own.
Can I Increase the Number of IP Addresses?
Yes, you can purchase additional IP addresses as needed. Subnet allocations can also be arranged for your large-scale projects.
Can I get physical access to my server?
Yes, your authorized personnel can book an appointment and gain physical access to your server at our data center. Free IP KVM solutions are also offered for remote access.
Will my server keep running during a power outage?
Yes. Our data center is backed by UPS systems and backup generators. During power outages, your server keeps running without interruption.
Is DDoS protection included?
